Service Delivery

Service Operations Specialist

Hybrid or On Site Full-time 2-5 years Bachelor's Degree
Apply for this Position

Position Overview

You will own an area of service operations: the process behind it, the monitoring that proves it is working, and the reporting that shows where it is not. You will spend as much time removing the causes of repeat work as you do measuring it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own defined service processes end to end — documentation, execution, measurement, and revision.
  • Build and maintain the reporting that shows service performance against agreed commitments.
  • Configure and tune monitoring and alerting so an alert means something to whoever receives it.
  • Analyse ticket, incident, and visit data to find recurring causes and quantify their cost.
  • Run improvement initiatives from problem statement through to measured effect.
  • Maintain the runbook and knowledge library shared across support, field, and delivery.
  • Prepare service reviews with accurate data and honest commentary.
  • Coordinate operational readiness when a new service or customer comes on board.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in service operations, IT operations, or process and quality management.
  • Strong data skills: SQL or an equivalent way of getting to operational data yourself.
  • Experience building reporting that people make decisions with.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting concepts and their failure modes.
  • Experience documenting and improving a process that other people have to follow.
  • Able to present findings to teams who may not like them.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, IT, or business discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or cloud-native monitoring stacks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent improvement training.
  • Scripting or automation experience to remove manual operational steps.

What You'll Gain

  • Competitive salary.
  • Hybrid working — a mix of office and remote days, with time on customer sites where the work needs it.
  • Annual learning budget for books, courses, and conferences.
  • Top-tier hardware and software tooling.
  • Private health insurance and flexible time off.
