Senior Service Operations Specialist

You will design how service operations work here — the process model, the measurement behind it, and the improvement programme that follows. You take on the operational problems that have already survived one round of fixes, and you set the standard other specialists work to.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own the operational process model across support, field, and delivery.
- Define the service metrics that matter and how they are calculated and reported.
- Lead the largest improvement initiatives, including the ones that require other teams to change.
- Design the monitoring and alerting strategy for the services ByteGurus operates.
- Lead problem management: turn recurring incidents into permanent removals.
- Set operational readiness criteria for new services and customers, and enforce them.
- Mentor operations specialists on analysis, process design, and measurement.
- Advise leadership on where operational risk and operational cost actually sit.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years in service operations or IT service management, including process ownership.
- A record of measured improvements, not only proposed ones.
- Advanced analytical skills, including SQL and a BI or reporting tool.
- Deep practical understanding of incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience designing monitoring and alerting for production services.
- Able to influence teams you do not manage.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, IT, or business discipline.
Nice to Have
- Experience operating regulated services such as banking or payments.
- Automation experience with scripting or workflow tooling.
- ITIL Expert, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
- Familiarity with SRE practices such as service-level objectives and error budgets.
