Senior Service Coordinator

You will plan service capacity rather than just fill a calendar — forecasting demand, shaping the coverage model, and making the call when two customers want the same technician on the same morning. You are also the coordinator the others come to when a plan has to be rebuilt from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own capacity planning across regions and customer commitments, not only the live schedule.
- Design the coverage and dispatch model and adjust it as demand patterns change.
- Make the prioritisation calls when demand exceeds capacity, and justify them to stakeholders.
- Lead scheduling for large rollouts and multi-site programmes alongside delivery.
- Define scheduling rules, escalation triggers, and the data the team plans from.
- Analyse utilisation, travel, and first-time-fix data and act on what it shows.
- Mentor coordinators on planning technique and on holding difficult scheduling conversations.
- Work with support, field, and delivery leads on resourcing for upcoming commitments.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years in service coordination, dispatch, or resource planning for technical teams.
- Demonstrated capacity planning against a forecast, not only reactive scheduling.
- Experience coordinating a programme of work across multiple sites and teams.
- Strong analytical skills — you plan from the data rather than from memory.
- Authority in the conversations where you have to refuse a customer request.
- Experience improving a scheduling process, not only operating one.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience configuring a field service management platform.
- A background in logistics, planning, or industrial engineering.
- Familiarity with contractual service commitments and their planning implications.
- Experience mentoring or training a coordination team.
