You will lead analysis on engagements where the requirement is genuinely unclear — regulatory processes, system replacements, and customers whose own stakeholders disagree. You will set the analysis standard here and mentor the analysts who work to it.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements and gap analysis on the most complex customer engagements.
- Resolve conflicting stakeholder requirements into a specification the business will sign.
- Make and defend the build-versus-configure recommendation for significant requirements.
- Work with solution architects so functional design and technical design stay consistent.
- Define the analysis artefacts, templates, and quality bar the team uses.
- Review specifications written by other analysts before they reach engineering.
- Mentor analysts on workshop facilitation, specification writing, and stakeholder management.
- Support pre-sales with scope analysis and requirement-level risk assessment.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years in software solution or business analysis on enterprise systems.
- Experience leading analysis across multiple stakeholder groups with competing needs.
- Depth in at least one enterprise domain such as banking, payments, or identity.
- Strong data analysis — you interrogate the data rather than trust a description of it.
- Able to challenge an architect or a customer stakeholder with evidence.
- Experience mentoring analysts and raising the quality of their output.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, IT, or management information systems discipline.
Nice to Have
- Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven requirements.
- Involvement in system migration or replacement programmes.
- Familiarity with API specification formats such as OpenAPI.
- CBAP or an equivalent business analysis certification.
