Position Overview

We are looking for a senior data analyst to lead the analyses where being wrong is expensive. You will choose the method and defend the choice, set how metrics are defined and versioned across the team, mentor analysts through query and method review, and stand behind your numbers when a stakeholder pushes back.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis on the highest-stakes questions — pricing, retention, capacity — where a wrong answer costs real money.
  • Choose the analytical method, state the assumptions it rests on, and defend the choice in review.
  • Set analytical standards for the team: how metrics are defined, versioned, and deprecated.
  • Design the reporting layer for a business area together with data engineering and BI.
  • Reframe badly posed questions into something that can actually be answered with the data available.
  • Build reusable analysis assets — parameterized queries, dbt models, and templates other analysts start from.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level analysts through query review, method review, and pairing.
  • Run readouts with stakeholders and clients, and hold your position under challenge when the data supports it.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional analytics experience.
  • Advanced SQL, query optimization, and comfort modelling data for analysis.
  • Python with the statistical libraries, used for real analysis rather than demos.
  • Statistical rigor: confidence intervals, experiment analysis, confounding, and survivorship effects.
  • Experience defining a metric layer or semantic model jointly with engineering.
  • Demonstrated mentoring of less experienced analysts.
  • Ability to write a decision memo that survives being read without you in the room.

Nice to Have

  • Causal inference methods such as difference-in-differences, matching, or uplift modelling.
  • Analytics engineering practice: dbt in version control with tests and CI.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.
  • Forecasting work with seasonality and hierarchy.

What You'll Gain

  • Competitive salary.
  • Fully remote — work from wherever you're most productive.
  • Annual learning budget for books, courses, and conferences.
  • Top-tier hardware and software tooling.
  • Private health insurance and flexible time off.
