Remote Full-time 7-10 years Bachelor's Degree
Apply for this Position Position Overview
We're looking for a lead iOS engineer to own an app and the team that builds it. You will set the architecture and release strategy, stay hands-on in Swift, and be accountable for delivery, stability, and the growth of your engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the iOS workstream: architecture, delivery plan, and release strategy.
- Stay hands-on in Swift and SwiftUI, especially on architecture and platform-level problems.
- Own the app's module structure and the conventions every iOS engineer follows.
- Own release engineering end to end: signing, TestFlight, submission, and phased releases.
- Set stability and performance targets - crash-free rate, launch time, responsiveness - and hold the team to them.
- Run design and code reviews and make the call when opinions split.
- Grow the engineers in the team through one-to-ones, feedback, and deliberate work assignment.
- Represent iOS platform and privacy constraints in product, design, and API decisions.
Skills & Qualifications
- 7-10 years of iOS development with deep Swift and SwiftUI expertise.
- Experience leading an iOS team while continuing to write code.
- A track record of designing or modularising a large iOS codebase.
- Command of Xcode build systems, code signing, and release automation.
- Experience owning App Store submissions, phased releases, and review escalations.
- Experience giving direct feedback and helping engineers improve on the back of it.
- Ability to explain platform trade-offs to product and design without hand-waving.
Nice to Have
- Experience hiring and onboarding mobile engineers.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Flutter as a shared-code strategy.
- Background in payments, identity, or media-heavy mobile applications.
- Experience working directly with client stakeholders.
What You'll Gain
- Competitive salary.
- Fully remote — work from wherever you're most productive.
- Annual learning budget for books, courses, and conferences.
- Top-tier hardware and software tooling.
- Private health insurance and flexible time off.
