We're looking for a junior frontend engineer who wants to learn how interfaces are built for real users rather than for a demo. You will deliver well-defined UI work in React and Next.js with senior engineers reviewing every change.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement well-defined UI features in React, Next.js, and TypeScript from designs and tickets.
- Build components that reuse the existing design system rather than adding one-off styles.
- Handle loading, empty, and error states properly instead of only the happy path.
- Fix responsive and cross-browser issues reported by QA or by users.
- Apply accessibility basics: semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and labelled controls.
- Write component tests for the code you ship.
- Act on code review feedback and use it to sharpen the next change rather than repeating the same note.
Skills & Qualifications
- 0-2 years of professional frontend experience, or strong project work if you are just starting.
- Confident with HTML, modern CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of React and TypeScript.
- Understanding of how a browser renders a page and what causes layout shift.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and pull requests.
- Care about how the result looks and behaves, not only whether it compiles.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or another utility-first framework.
- Exposure to Next.js rendering modes and data fetching.
- Any experience with component or end-to-end testing.
- Interest in performance budgets and Core Web Vitals.
