We're looking for a junior full-stack engineer who is curious about both sides of a feature. You will deliver well-defined work across a Next.js interface and its API, with senior engineers reviewing your changes on both sides.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-defined features that span a Next.js interface and its backing API.
- Add endpoints and the interface code that consumes them, keeping the contract consistent.
- Write PostgreSQL queries and straightforward migrations for the features you build.
- Write tests on both sides of the stack for the code you ship.
- Debug across layers: work out whether a defect lives in the UI, the API, or the data.
- Follow the team's deployment process and check your change in a real environment afterwards.
- Act on code review feedback and use it to sharpen the next change rather than repeating the same note.
Skills & Qualifications
- 0-2 years of professional experience across frontend and backend, or strong project work.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript plus one backend language such as C#, Node.js, or Python.
- Comfortable with React and with writing HTTP APIs.
- Working SQL and an understanding of relational modelling.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and pull requests.
- Willingness to be a beginner on one side of the stack while you catch up.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Next.js server-side rendering and API routes.
- Exposure to Docker or containerized local development.
- Any experience with CI pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- A personal project you shipped end to end.
