Position Overview

We are looking for a lead data analyst to own an analytics workstream and the analysts working in it. You will set the roadmap, decide what gets answered and what gets declined, coach the people doing the work, and stay close enough to the data to take on the hardest questions yourself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an analytics workstream: scope, sequencing, staffing, and the delivery commitments that come with it.
  • Own the analytical roadmap for your area and negotiate priorities with the stakeholders who fund it.
  • Set the quality bar and the review process for the analysts on your workstream.
  • Coach your analysts: growth plans, direct feedback, and closing the specific skill gaps you observe.
  • Stay hands-on for the hardest questions rather than delegating everything.
  • Decide what deserves a dashboard, what stays ad-hoc, and what needs a model — and say why.
  • Partner with data engineering and BI leads on the models and priorities your workstream depends on.
  • Report progress, risk, and trade-offs to leadership, including when the data cannot support the decision being asked for.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 7-10 years in analytics, including leading a small team or workstream.
  • Expert SQL and strong dimensional modelling instincts.
  • A repeated track record of analytics work that changed how decisions were made.
  • Ability to plan and sequence work across several analysts and competing deadlines.
  • Real experience coaching analysts and giving difficult feedback.
  • Fluency with metric governance — ownership, certification, and semantic layer boundaries.
  • Confident stakeholder management, including declining work with a reason.

Nice to Have

  • Experience standing up an analytics function from scratch.
  • Delivery across multiple concurrent clients in a consulting setting.
  • Ownership of an experimentation programme.
  • Familiarity with KVKK and GDPR constraints on analytical data use.

What You'll Gain

  • Competitive salary.
  • Fully remote — work from wherever you're most productive.
  • Annual learning budget for books, courses, and conferences.
  • Top-tier hardware and software tooling.
  • Private health insurance and flexible time off.
