Junior Software Engineer, iOS
Remote Full-time 0-2 years Bachelor's Degree
Apply for this Position Position Overview
We're looking for a junior iOS engineer who wants to learn the platform properly on a shipping app. You will deliver well-defined screens and fixes in Swift, with senior engineers reviewing your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement well-defined screens and features in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Wire views to existing APIs and handle loading, empty, and error states.
- Work within the app's existing architecture and keep logic out of the views themselves.
- Fix layout and behaviour issues across device sizes, orientations, and iOS versions.
- Write XCTest unit tests for the logic you ship.
- Reproduce and fix crashes reported from production using crash logs and symbolication.
- Act on code review feedback and use it to sharpen the next change rather than repeating the same note.
Skills & Qualifications
- 0-2 years of professional iOS experience, or strong project work if you are just starting.
- Solid Swift fundamentals: optionals, protocols, and value semantics.
- Working knowledge of SwiftUI, and enough UIKit to read existing code.
- Understanding of the iOS view lifecycle and navigation patterns.
- Comfortable consuming REST APIs from a mobile client.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and pull requests.
Nice to Have
- An app of your own on the App Store.
- Exposure to Swift Concurrency or Combine.
- Any experience with TestFlight distribution.
- Interest in Flutter as a cross-platform alternative.
What You'll Gain
- Competitive salary.
- Fully remote — work from wherever you're most productive.
- Annual learning budget for books, courses, and conferences.
- Top-tier hardware and software tooling.
- Private health insurance and flexible time off.
