We are looking for a director of data analytics to own what the organisation measures and how those measurements reach a decision. This is an organisational role: team structure, hiring managers, budget, governance, and the discipline to retire work that no longer earns its cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the analytics strategy — what gets measured, and how decisions actually get made with it.
- Design the analytics organisation: team structure, roles, career paths, and the split between central and embedded teams.
- Own the roadmap and the budget for analytics and BI, including tooling spend and headcount planning.
- Hire and develop managers and leads, and hold them accountable for their teams' outcomes.
- Set governance — metric ownership, certification, access, and retention — and make it stick.
- Partner with executives across the business to turn objectives into measurement they will actually use.
- Decide what the function stops doing, and retire reporting and analysis that no longer earns its cost.
- Represent the analytics capability in commercial and client conversations where it is part of the offer.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years in analytics and BI, including leading managers rather than only individual contributors.
- A track record of building or restructuring an analytics function.
- Budget ownership and responsibility for tooling and vendor decisions.
- Technical judgment deep enough to evaluate an architecture or a method credibly.
- Experience hiring and developing managers.
- Executive communication and the ability to influence without authority.
- Master's degree in a quantitative, business, or computing field, or equivalent depth of experience.
Nice to Have
- Leadership experience in consulting or professional services.
- Standing up data governance in a regulated business.
- Consolidating data across multiple entities after an acquisition or merger.
- Fluency in Turkish and English for mixed-language executive audiences.
