The problem

A baby's first photos, news and congratulations scatter across WhatsApp groups and get lost there. Getting grandparents to install a new app rarely works, and with paper invitations nobody knows who is coming.

Our approach

We put everything on the baby's own page: a countdown, a memory box, a family album, visitor notes and digital invitations. Family see the page through a link, without downloading an app or signing up. We built the product on MicroFrame; web, iOS and Android share the same services.

First commit to live on three platforms

First commit 30 May 2026; web, iOS and Android live 25-27 September 2026. Source: repository history and store release dates.

What hellobebi does

hellobebi collects a baby’s story on a single page. The parent runs the page; family and friends follow it through a link. They do not need to install an app or create an account.

  • Countdown: days and hours to the due date.
  • Memory box: photos, voice notes and short posts, with comments under each memory.
  • Family album: family members the parent allows can add their own photos.
  • Who sees what: each memory is open to everyone, to family only, or to the parent alone.
  • Digital invitations: invites for events such as a baby shower, with replies and guests’ photos in one place.
  • Invite by link or QR code: no e-mail address needed; people type their own name when they join.

There is a free plan and a Premium subscription; current plans are on hellobebi.com.

How we built it

  • Backend: .NET microservices (identity, subscriptions, payments, campaigns, notifications, content delivery) behind one API gateway.
  • Web: Next.js. Mobile: React Native (Expo) for iOS and Android.
  • The services run on MicroFrame’s .NET core packages: events go out to Kafka through an outbox, and a request’s path across services is traced as one trace.
  • Mobile releases go out through TestFlight and the Google Play internal track; web and services move to production after they are measured in a test environment.

In numbers

The first commit landed on 30 May 2026. The web, iOS and Android versions went live between 25 and 27 September 2026: about four months to live on three platforms.
